Last weekend, I sewed my first skirt!!!  It turned out horribly, but I’m still proud I did it.  You have to start somewhere, right?  So I’m still learning, and for clothing adjustments like hems, I’m still using a tailor.  The dress I’m wearing here was purchased last Winter, but it was too long and I kept forgetting to take it to the tailor, so it languished in my closet for almost a year 😦  Thankfully, I got  my act together (at least in this respect) last week and got it hemmed.  I love it!  Gaudy florals hold a special place in my heart, and this one is super comfortable and the shape is nice.  Plus, it’s an excuse to wear tights and a matching cardi 😉
