How to: Wear Coloured Tights

So whimsical, I'm in love :)

So whimsical, I’m in love 🙂

I come across many, MANY ladies who love the look of coloured tights but for whatever reason feel like they can’t pull them off.  I understand this.  There’s a fine line between looking quirkycute and looking like a clown sometimes.  To help in my small way, I’ve put together a little how-to for coloured tights this season.  Let me know what you think in the comments below!

1) Bright tights with all black

3) Matched tights to a colour in your outfit

4) Same tones

All kinds of blue!

5) With summer clothes

Cool blue summer dress gets a winter makeover when you add a warm yellow cardi, brown boots and belt, and purple tights for contrast. It doesn't match, it GOES.

Shorts in winter? No problem! Simply add a thin sweater, big bag, dress heels and some opaque red tights.

My favourite Brands:

MODCLOTH “Tights for Every Occasion“, and other modcloth brands. I have the teal pair here as well as a similar pair to these, and they are comfortable and have lasted through many wears and cycles through the washing machine.  Can’t say enough about these tights!

TARGET any brand.  I visit my local target when I need coloured tights in a pinch, and they’re soft and comfortable.  They’re cheaper than the modcloth brands and do get runs a little more easily, but they’re good for a bunch of wears if you’re careful.

WE LOVE COLOURS I have just discovered this site and have ordered a pair in olive and one in lavender, two colours I want to wear with my new gold sandals as well as other shoes.  I have no idea about performance but they have a variety of sizes and most of the colours I can think of!  I’ll review them soon hopefully 🙂

  1. LOVE the same tones of blue. And the blue with black or black and white. And the red with black/red. And, and, and 🙂
