They’re cheap, they’re beautiful, there are so many to choose from at every Value Village and they really personalize your look: try a vintage scarf this Spring! Here are 3 different body parts on which to wear one:
1) On your shoulders

Worn with a 40s dress, this similarly coloured scarf accents her shoulders. Need: 40s small print house dress, large sunnies, red lips, square patterned scarf.

Small silk scarf, very chic. Need: short-sleeved sweater, pencil skirt, large sunglasses, square graphic scarf, handbag and red lips.

More of a pashmina, this look says : hi. I’m creative! Get to know me! Need: white button-up, jeans, large patterned pashmina.
2) On your head

A very vintage look: tie around the back of your head and neck, go drive a convertible. Need: Large silk scarf, bright silk top, bright jacket, large sunglasses and red lips.

Perfect for early morning farmers market shopping too! Need: LBD, black jacket, tote bag, large solid-colour square scarf.
3) On your wrist

Small handkerchief tied at the end of your arm party. Need: multiple cool bracelets, small square hanky or scarf.
I really love scarves for their versatility and ability to amp up an outfit. If you don’t have any scarves in your collection, it’s time to go shopping! Start on etsy.com or go to your local thrift store. I spend a few dollars on a beautiful vintage silk scarf I love, and more is not necessary unless it’s designer. If you own some but forget to wear them, try displaying them in your home or bedroom so you remember to use them! Happy scarfing, all!
