I got my hair done last night! My sister in law is the education coordinator for a blow dry bar close to my house called Blo (of all things), and she asked me to come in so she could show her new recruits how to style curly hair. She did this same style for me years ago, and I loved it: Basically you do a blowout, then do little twisty curls with a hair straightener. I can’t do it to save my life, but I’d love to learn because it looks so good when it’s done!
It got me thinking of all the changes I’ve made of hair over the past few years, and I wanted to do a little homage to the good and bad styles I’ve sported. Hey, they can’t all be winners, right? Here’s to learning what suits you, and embarassing hair stories!

This is from years ago, when I first went dark. Before this I had only highlighted my hair, so it was a big step! I had the hairdresser straighten it too. I like this, it looks simple and pretty.

This was for my cousin’s hair show in Vancouver. Finger waves, teasing, and there was some purple in there. I would never do this style on purpose, but it was a fun day!

This is when I first started going to school 2 years ago: I was growing my hair and lightening it. I really like this picture; I’m not sure what I did, but my hair is perfect here. Good volume, defined curls.

What the heck! Me and Odie look pretty similar when we wake up: little puff heads! I think she pulls it off better than me, yikes!

This was my other red. I was going for sexy, and I think it was. I didn’t keep it for long though, I don’t really remember why. Too much maintenance? Probably, because I moved to Edmonton with this colour, away from my hair professionals. Sad.

I don’t know what this is, but it looks wet and terrible. And seeing this now, I really don’t like the streaky highlights.
Thanks for posting your hair Up’s n down’s. Your hair that made you look Rachel McAdams is probably my favorite.
Which one is that?
