Searching for Inspiration

Everybody is creative, in one way or another.  Although we typically think of a creative person as a painter or writer, there are so many ways of expressing creativity.  Some of you are chefs at home, some of you organize your lives in innovative ways, some of you solve problems with your kids very creatively.  My creativity manifests itself in writing, decorating, (attempts at) sewing, running my business and putting outfits together.  I get energy to do these things by being inspired by everything around me: seasons, my family, people walking down the street, tv, music….but sometimes I need a little more.  That’s when I turn to blogs, Pinterest, instagram and etsy.

Today I got an email that I was treasured on etsy: that means that something from my shop was curated onto a treasury list.  Treasury lists are compilations of items that follow a theme, and what better way to get inspired than checking out specially chosen products of the same colour, shape or type?  I just discovered treasury lists, but I think they’re going to be a creative go-to for me from now on.

I’m going to be adding to my etsy shop in the next few weeks, so be sure to check out the inspiring pieces I’m selling!

Here is the item that was featured on a treasury called “cooler warmth”

Sticking with the nautical theme, we have a 60s sweater suit. Corine said this was really comfortable, and as you can see it looks incredibly flattering on her.
