I have been shopping on Modcloth.com for years for unique, vintage-inspired dresses, shoes and accessories. The site stocks indie designers, so a lot of what you get is not stocked in box stores, meaning you’ll be the only one you know who owns it. This is how I started shopping online actually, so Modcloth holds a special place in my heart. They have reviews on most items, along with pictures of real women wearing the clothes, not just models. I like that part a lot, because it gives me a better idea of how something will work on me, eliminating a little of the risk of online shopping. If you’re intrigued by shopping online but daunted by the risk of not being able to try an item on, this is an excellent place to start! Right now they’re having a 70% off sale, and I snagged this dress for networking and work. I may have to have it tailored a bit, but figured it would be worth it because I got it so cheap.
