Scenes from a bookstore

My husband and I aren’t great daters.  We go out together, sure, but I have this idea that other couples are going to fancy dinners and posh parties, while Jeff and I go to Chapters and grocery shopping….maybe sushi if we’re feeling crazy.  Thing is, after work, the gym, errands, and family stuff, we both put so much into our own extra-curricular activities (he builds cars, I build businesses) that at the end of the day we look at each other and ask “do you still want to go out?”.  Most of the time the answer is “not so much”, but once or twice a week we venture into our own neighbourhood for some tame fun.  This week we had sushi out Friday night, and then last night we went to Chapters (followed by grocery shopping) and I wore an A-line dress he likes.  We read magazines and had starbucks, and it was a pretty nice time!  Afterwards we rented a DVD out of one of those giant boxes in the grocery store and did what we do best: cuddled up for the night and laughed a lot.  So maybe we’re not terribly exciting, but I love being at home with my hubby.  And yes: I totally wear  yoga pants when we’re home alone, but don’t tell!

pumpkin is out but it's still hot. Solution: Frappuccino!

I don't buy trashy magazines (like US), but I do read them at Chapters sometimes. Guilty pleasure.

Here's a picture of the Richmond Night Market and White Rock pier date night we had a couple of weeks ago, in the same dress. I forgot about this!
