Pumpkin Season has Ended

This past week for me has been really busy, but really good.  I have renewed my commitment to exercise in response to my trainer emotionally kicking my butt about not making it a priority, so I’m trying to keep my promise to myself at least 4 days a week until it becomes a habit.  I’ll be posting some workout outfit ideas too, because it has definitely become my new area of dressing (hopefully) well.  It’s a challenge trying to look good when your face is sweating off, but I keep trying.

Also, happy belated Halloween, everyone!  I probably was the lamest I have ever been this year: I had no costume and didn’t even hand out candy, BUT I have reasons for both: our neighbourhood gets pretty much no kids anymore and it hardly seems worth it to have my dogs go crazy and buy a bunch of chocolate for like, 5 kids.  I’m sorry if that seems terrible, but I promise when I have kids I’ll give out candy every year.  I think.  We were going to go to this party they have in White Rock every year for charity, but it was cancelled this year!!!  Another dancing engagement my husband has gotten out of :S  So alas, no costume.  What I DID do was a carve a pretty cute pumpkin with my niece and nephews and help with their (and their Mom’s costumes).  When they took off trick-or-treating, their uncle and I relaxed to watch some scary movies together.  It was a nice night 🙂

Here are some pictures of our pumpkin-carving night on Wednesday.  It’s not an outfit post so much as a cute kid post, but I’ll be back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow.  Enjoy your Saturday, everyone, and welcome to November!

You would think I’d have gotten a picture of the finished pumpkins, but sadly I did not.  Sometimes I get so into an activity that I forget to photograph it.  Most of the time, in fact.  Ah well.
